David Fincher‘s The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo stars Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgard, and Christopher Plummer. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2011)’s plot synopsis: “Harriet Vanger, a scion of one of Sweden’s wealthiest families disappeared over forty years ago. All these years later, her aged uncle (Christopher Plummer) continues to seek the truth. He hires Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig), a crusading journalist recently trapped by a libel conviction, to investigate. He is aided by the pierced and tattooed computer prodigy Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara). Together they tap into a vein of unfathomable iniquity and astonishing corruption.”
I had heard about an 8-Minute movie trailer some weeks ago that a lucky few movie webmasters were able to see before screenings of Straw Dogs and Moneyball. This is apparently the condensed version of that movie trailer.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is based off of the first book of the critically acclaimed Millennium Trilogy, which has already spurred three successful Swedish films.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2011) also stars Max von Sydow, Joely Richardson, David Dencik, Joel Kinnaman, Embeth Davidtz, Goran Visnjic, Julian Sands, Steven Berkoff, Geraldine James, Yorick van Wageningen, and Sahlima.
